Did You Know? The average woman will dispose of around 14 000 tampons or sanitary pads in her lifetime! By switching to MyOwnCup, you’ll be making a much cleaner and greener choice.
Please Note: If MyOwnCup is correctly inserted, it will feel completely comfortable and will not leak. When you first start using it, you may find it takes a bit of practice to correctly fold and insert it, and you may want to wear panty liners as well for the first couple of days for extra assurance.
Directions
Sterilise: You can sterilise your cup by boiling it in water for 7-10 minutes. Sterilisation tablets or rubbing alcohol may also be used. Sterilise the cup before and after each monthly cycle.
Fold: Follow the enclosed folding instructions carefully, to find a suitable way of folding your cup.
Insert: Wash your hands thoroughly. Grip your cup in the chosen fold, choose a comfortable position & relax before inserting your MyOwnCup. Do not insert as high as you would a regular tampon.
Remove: Wash your hands thoroughly. Grasp the stem of the cup between thumb & forefinger, then pull gently at a downward angle. Tip the contents into the toilet.
Reuse: Rinse MyOwnCup with clean water or a feminine hygiene wipe before re-inserting. It is recommended that you rinse and sterilise MyOwnCup between each menstrual cycle.
